It's the endorsement, stupid!

Is it me, or do the Republicans have the lamest celebrities endorsing them. Arnie aside, I think the Dems win this contest hands down. Here's a rough count - fill me in on any I missed:

Arnold Schwartzenegger
Bruce Willis
Kurt Russell
Ron Silver
Ugly Baldwin

Matt Damon
Ben Affleck
Alec Baldwin
Sharon Stone
Jesse Ventura!
Sean Penn
Susan Sarandon
Leonardo di Caprio
Robert de Niro
Michael Douglas

Hmmm. Ron Silver? Come on...

Update: It's Tom Selleck for the Reps, I'm afraid.

Ventura for Kerry!

This is pretty funny, and regular readers will notice that it combines the dream mixture of high politics and action movies.

Pretty much everything important that needs to be said about the election is going on elsewhere. I'm just going to point readers to Ron Suskin's excellent article on the sitting President. You must read this, by the way.

Oh, and in a move slightly less surprising than the Oxbloggers', I'm going to finally come out and endorse Kerry!

Gee! Soccerball!

Headline spotted on CNN this morning:

Football: Jonny Wilkinson, 25, appointed England's new head coach.

In fairness, I can't even begin to understand baseball. It's like rounders, right?
